When we think of mindfulness and business, we often see those as separate, as if the two would never coexist. We intentionally keep them separate, finding mindfulness as a hobby rather than a way of being. What if you could live and work mindfully, would that create more balance in your life?
Our workshops challenge you to consider how these two seemingly opposite activities of business and mindfulness naturally intersect and support one another.

A whopping 81% of businesses use Microsoft Excel. Most businesses however aren't teaching it and it is up to the employee to learn how to enter data, create formulas, and format pages. This can lead to additional stress in the workplace if you are not familiar with spreadsheets.
Finding time to learn a new skill can be challenging. It is no different with mindfulness, how do we find the time? How can we incorporate mindfulness in our workday to help lower our stress levels? WHY MICROSOFT EXCEL?
According to Acuity training, office workers spend 38% of their workday using excel. No matter what department you work in there is likely an expectation for you to provide important data, whether financial or operational, through the use of spreadsheets. If you have been "getting by" or trying to learn Excel on your own it may feel like an uphill battle every time you open a spreadsheet. Excel mindfully teaches you fundamental skills of Microsoft Excel to get you started taking steps towards feeling more productive and less stressed.
WHY MINDFUL STRATEGIES?
Approximately 1 in 7 workers according to the CDC use mindfulness in their occupation to reduce stress. And, according to the 2017 National Health Interview Survey, 14.2% of adults practice meditation. In the last few years there has been an increase in publicity around mindfulness and meditation because of the proven results that it brings to our well being such as reducing areas of anxiety, chronic pain, depression and blood pressure as well as supporting emotional regulation, self-awareness, and problem solving skills.
THE CHALLENGES WE SOMETIMES FACE
MINDFULNESS
Sometimes even activities people tout as relaxing can feel overwhelming. One of the limitations to achieving mindfulness can be unrealistic expectations of ourselves and not giving ourselves credit for what we are already doing. In this class we look realistically at what level of mindfulness is beneficial to you and how to incorporate strategies throughout the day so you can attain the mindful goals and benefits you seek.
MICROSOFT EXCEL
Have you ever received a spreadsheet from your boss and they said, “I need the numbers for your department today.” You open the file, feeling overwhelmed by all the data, and you click to enter the numbers but somehow instead you've inadvertently deleted a formula. How do you recreate it? Or maybe you clicked on a cell and suddenly found a blank page and think that you’ve erased everything? This unknowingness leads to stress and anxiety and can slow down your productivity. We all have a lot on our plate, and spending too much time trying to fix a perceived mistake can waste valuable time.
