Welcome to Meditation 719

When was the last time you felt that sensation, that awareness of being deeply grounded and walking with clarity and purpose? ​​
Now, more than ever, we are rediscovering what is important to us, not only in how we spend our time but in what brings meaning, connection, and fulfillment to us.  At Meditation 719, we are here to help you tune back in to that presence and awareness.  To see with clarity, to awaken to the moment, and to engage mindfully with nature and your creative processes again. 

In support of our mindful community we dive into resources and events which support multiple modes of meditative expression.  Art, Science, Spirituality, Sportsmanship, or Nature are all meditative practices. These modes of practice  come together in Colorado Springs and Manitou.  Each expression is a doorway to finding your centeredness, and we are here to help you explore and embrace a mindful and inquisitive exploration of self and interconnectedness.

The workbook offers paths to follow and prompts to spark your curiosity. You have the flexibility to choose your own meditation adventure. The workbook offers the ability to print or edit directly into your file.


To compliment your meditations throughout the book, the audio consists of a guided meditation to help you move into your reflective space.


There are 3 lengths available and each meditation is identical in theme, the difference is the amount of peaceful reflection time.


5 min = 2 min reflection time

10 min = 7 reflection time

15 min = 12 min reflection


At the end of the meditation, a bell will sound to lead you out of the meditation.


Ease yourself into your meditation, increasing as you go. Two minutes initially doesn't seem long, however our world keeps us busier with thoughts than we often think, and a full 5 minute meditation is an accomplishment!

Join us for a live meditation to start your new year off with inspired creativity!  Sunrise of a New Day is a guided meditation to support you in a fresh start.  Throughout your life you will experience an extraordinary amount of beginnings and endings.  Even a breath has a beginning and an end; each new breath creating a beautiful flow.  Life is like this.  Today you have an opportunity to create anew, to write a new story in this moment or continue a beautiful one.  What would you write about this day?  What does this day, this chapter hold for you.

RECLAIM MEDITATION!

We each long to be whole, healthy and free and the human spirit holds an inspiring ability to reclaim what is most important. 

The journey for each to understand and embrace and ultimately reunite with what we wish to reclaim holds different paths, yet speaks to a truth we each feel within.  A knowingness of our innate wholeness.

On this day, in this moment, I remember the clarity and the vision of fulfilling what I had dreamed of for so long.   Shortly after this image was taken, I started reimagining and reconfiguring my life in ways that were meaningful to me.  To build a studio that supported others on their journeys.

My hope is that you too embrace your vision, your inspiration, and your understanding and ability to embody the fullness of who you are.  

What would you reclaim?   There may be times when we are aware of what we want to reclaim, and other times, we are reminded by an experience of what we may have lost or forgotten.  The act of reclaim may be about a part of your self-identity or a state of being that is precious, valuable and key to who you are. 

If you attended the event at the studio, thank you for holding space with us.  If this is your first visit, welcome!  It is an honor to be able to share this meditation with you.   

Depending on how you feel today, and how you wish to meditate, we offer two versions.  The same meditation, but with music that inspires a more inward, deeply meditative approach and the other a more active, outward expression.  

If you are curious, take time, listen to one, and notice how you feel.  Perhaps journal and reflect of what you experienced or what may have become clear.  And then on another day, listen to the second version, and notice how this one may feel different, similar, or build on the other.

Benefits of Meditation

Many people rely on meditation with good reason; there are emotional and physical benefits to a practice.
Meditation brings health benefits, supports your personal empowerment, and can lead to a deeper appreciation of the natural world around you. 


​In recent years science has become increasingly interested in studying the impacts of meditation.  Recent studies have demonstrated benefits such as lower stress levels, better sleep, and less anxiety.  The findings show meditation improves ones outlook and supports increased concentration. 


Through meditation you begin to consciously shift your focus and this shift allows you to take a break from over stimulation in the world around you.  When you move into this space of stillness and contemplation, a level of awareness or inter-connectedness can often be associated with that practice. You may begin making greater connections and it becomes possible to contemplate life rather than being distracted from it.

Have you had a chance to check out the Skyspace exhibit at the base of Pike's Peak?  Don't miss your chance to explore this amazing exhibit that explores how color dances with light and transforms what we perceive.  The exhibit is open through October, offering sunrise and sunset shows that captivate the senses.  Tickets are $5 and there is a short hike to the exhibit.  

As a group, we explored this beautiful work of art and had a chance to meditate and relax during one of the sunrise shows.  As the light and colors shifted, my perspective was altered and my eyes became a window of wonder.   We all watched the play of colors affect our eyes perception of the sky above us, and what we knew the sky looked like suddenly became open to possibilities.  It was as if there was a doorway into another reality right above us.  This is a stunning display of light and color. 

James Turrell is the artist behind this contemplative work of art.  He is an American artist who works with light and space, creating spectacular exhibits that illuminate a sense of discovery and fascination.  We here in Colorado Springs are fortunate to have one of his installations so close!  As Green Box Arts say, "Be enveloped in a one of a kind kinetic light and color encounter - a sensory and contemplative experience unlike anywhere else in the world."
